I had never shot anything more ferocious than a soda can until I took this assignment over the summer. I met up with a pair of young, born-and-raised Georgia boys on the outskirts of town, and armed with a knife, a .357 revolver and one muscle-bound pit bull for back-up I followed them into a patch of Lowcountry swampland in search of feral hogs.
